How do I change my Wi-Fi channel

Click on one of the three images image below of the model of modem you have to view instructions on changing Wi-Fi channel.


  • Cisco EPC3925

  • Technicolor TC7230

  • Arris TG2492s

Cisco EPC3925

The best way to change your WiFi Channel.

  1. Connect your computer to one of the 4 yellow Ethernet computer ports on the back of the Cisco EPC 3925 modem we supplied you  using the Ethernet / Cat5 computer cable (yellow or grey cable)
  2. To Login into the Cisco EPC 3925 modem,click on the following link  http://192.168.0.1 or enter this link into a web browser. This will bring you to the Cisco EPC3925 login page.
  3. By default modem login username is admin and password is admin  click the login button to log into your modem.
  4. You should now be in the setup page.
  5. Click On Wireless along the Top
  6. Click On Radio Settings
  7. Standard Channel Change this to a free Channel
  8. Click Save Settings
  9.  Re log onto your WiFi and see is there any improvement you may need to repeat using a different channel

Only Channels 1, 6, and 11 do not overlap

Technicolor TC7230

The best way to change your WiFi Channel.

  1. Connect your computer to one of the 4 yellow Ethernet computer ports on the back of the Technicolor TC7230 modem we supplied you using the Ethernet / Cat5 computer cable (yellow or grey cable)
  2. To Login into the  Technicolor TC7230 modem,click on the following link  http://192.168.0.1 or enter this link into a web browser. This will bring you to the  Technicolor TC7230 login page.
  3. By default modem login username is admin and password is admin  click the login button to log into your modem.
  4. You should now be in the Status page.
  5. Click On Wireless along the Top
  6. Click Wi-Fi 2.4G for you 2G Network
  7. Channel Change this to a free Channel
  8. Click Apply
  9. Re log onto your WiFi and see is there any improvement you may need to repeat using a different channel

Arris TG2492s

The best way to change your WiFi Channel.

  1. Connect your computer to one of the 4 yellow Ethernet computer ports on the back of the Arris TG2492S modem we supplied you using the Ethernet / Cat5 computer cable (yellow or grey cable)
  2. To Login into the Arris TG2492S modem,click on the following link  http://192.168.0.1 or enter this link into a web browser. This will bring you to the Arris TG2492S login page.
  3. By default modem login username is admin and password is password  click the login button to log into your modem.
  4. You should now be in the Basic Setup.
  5. Click Wireless 2.4GHz
  6. Channel Change this to a free Channel
  7. Click Apply
  8. Re log onto your WiFi and see is there any improvement you may need to repeat using a different channel
